One fine evening!

hey! i m back . After a hectic day when i sit back  and relax at home with a cup of coffee in hand, i browse the web & I find something interesting! " South Korea smartphone ownership triples in 2 years and is highest in the world! "
Interesting? huh? only until you compare that tiny country's achievement with the Great nation of ours!
This made me research more about my country and the results were damn surprising. Read on
  • A country's development/progress represented in terms of average income of its citizen which is known as Per Capita Income or GDP(gross domestic product). There is a list made with the decreasing order of GDP and India ranks 126 out of 180 countries! yeah you read that right. we are that backward!. what about South Korea? 28! . damn! A country so small beats India by such a large number.Being large makes it easy to be more developed? Well yeah, more resources, more citizens , more ideas!, more innovation!.
  • Lets ignore all this GDP crap for some time. Let us try to find out how many citizens do we have? 1cr? no! . We have around 130cr(1.3bn). And we have borrowed a loan of $10bn = $1000cr! from world bank. Our nation not only tops in population but also in borrowing loans. We top the world bank's loan list!
Well if you sit back and Google you might find plenty more facts which proves our backwardness. We might be having a great background or a fortune of great civilizations but that doesnt prove anything. Past is history. Its only in books now!.
So what do you foresee? Narendra Modi?
Well, you think a single person alone can change a huge nation like India and fully develop it? At the moment all that matters is what you do to the society starting from the small little things like switching off the Engine when you are at the traffic signal! Think what change a person like you can bring to the society. Maybe one day you might create awareness among people or innovate with your new ideas. Bring out the spirit inside you.

Android >> Simplified!

Android! U mean that smartphone crap? Yeah. Most phones you find in the market nowadays run an Os called Android. Android was bought by Google .inc in 2005 and currently there are about a billion android devices running around. Starting all the way from a smartphone to a microwave over, run on android os!. Thats a pretty cool achievement for Google. But, what made android so popular?

  • User friendly - Nothing in life can be made any simpler i guess.
  • Java Platform - The most secure language ever.
  • Open source - Any body can modify personalize the native code for their phone.
  • Linux based - All kernals(will talk about this later) are linux based which provides high performance.
  • Bug free - Java, says it all.

That pretty much explains why android is super cool. If you would like to know how android devices work, go here(Highly superficial explanation). So, basically there are two kinds of people.
  1. I'm satisfied with the features on my phone.
  2. I wanna try out some cool stuff with this device.
Well if you belong to the first set of people, i will not suggest you to read any further. lol., I belong to the second category i guess. I try out a lot of stuff with my smart device. If you wanna know how? why? read on.
You will have to do the following stuff to continue.
  1. Root : ^warranty void - Many users have a misconception that rooting your phones means changing the os or some crap! .well, its not! - Its basically getting super user permissions on your device. i mean, permissions to control your device processor, ports etc!If you have already rooted your device, then you are allowed to do anything with it.
  2. Custom Rom - Once you have got all privileges to manipulate your device functioning you can Install anything you want to try. I am talking about changing the operating system, the set of instructions which  help a user to interact with the device. You will need to flash(install) a custom rom in order to try any os. Once you flash the Custom Rom, it can offer you
  •  New cool interface
  • Better performance
  • New features etc.
    3. Kernel - These are the drivers which interact between your os and the driver. They are mostly in c/c++.
Changing these set of softwares made add cool features but may damage your device.

Is that all?no. there are lots of things to learn, tons of cool stuff to try. All you need is patience and interest and a bit of courage. lol. So where you get this to learn? here.
Thanks for reading. See you soon!

The Theory of Missing Bytes!

Last week I bought a new 1TB WD external hard disk. I was not much surprised to see my hard disk showing up only 931.322 gb of available space, but as usual wondered what must be the theory behind it. Well it turned out to be pretty simple, here you go.
Disk manufacturer takes for granted
1KB = 1000B, 1MB = 1000KB, 1GB = 1000MB and so on!
Well, software inbuilt in your computer counts space in multiples of 2, ie 2 bytes, 4 bytes, 8 bytes and so on. So
1KB = 2 power 10 bytes ie 1024 Bytes
1MB = 2 power 20 bytes ie 1024 KBytes ie 1024x1024Bytes

Let's do a bit more math now!
My hard disk manufacturer provided me with 1TB of space
ie 1TB = 1000x1000x1000x1000 Bytes
But my software counts 1KB as 1024 Bytes so the available 10 power 12bytes must be devided  by 1024 power 4 bytes to get available space as seen by my software!
(10 power 12 )/1024/1024/1024/1024 which amounts to .9313 TB ie 931.322GB!!
This is where the remaining 68.67GB has gone! This missing space increases with higher capacity hard drives and decreases with lower capacity hard drives.

Bhoom! ... You can be the king of any wifi network!

What do you expect when you are connected to a nearby wifi? well, pretty simple!
" I want all the SPEED" ! yeah exactly.

And here is a way to fulfill your dream, each and everytime!. Yeah, you heard me right, there is this wonderful software which has enabled me to snoop over any connected network and be the king of someone else's kingdom since years!
Its named pretty well
"NETCUT "
Its a software on windows platform which enables you to disconnect anyone who has connected to the same wifi to which you are connected in. Its quite simply software for which you need not bug your head.
just open the application, cutoff the other clients(computers), enjoy all the speed!!!!!

The procedure is too simple. Open the application netcut, select all clients except the first two( first one is your wifi server and second will be your own pc as the client) and click on cutoff!!! thats it. You will see the your download speeds going to lighting speeds!!! I have used this for quite a while and have experienced no problems! it works really great!
Is this a crime? Not at all! you are just messing up with others data packets which never reach the respective client. Hence they dont recieve the required data and thus their speeds vanish! its a sofware bug, for which you wont be held responsible!
Anyone wants to know the technical part?
go HERE

What if someone else use's this application against you?
solution: There is something called anti netcut. Download, install it, protect yourself!
solution2: No need of any antinetcut!, keep your netcut running which defends yourself!

Here you go! DOWNLOAD netcut and enjoy!!

Self satisfaction! Do you have it?

We all have some disappointments in life! don't we?. Sometimes we experience them and other times we pretend! I remember me pretending to be unhappy just because i didn't have enough toys to play!.well things have changed now. Even though i am not pretty grown up, i am pretty much sure of my needs and my dreams. ie. i aim for the bigger ones, may be a smart phone or an ultra book!

Do i still have that disappointment in me when i'm not able to get them?

Well, i don't! At least not after watching this video!

India!, did you surprise me?

where do i start with?, probably we all know a lot about our country! No second thought!
 lets recollect!
  • biggest democracy!
  • 2nd most populous
  • Product of Indus valley civilization
  • 10th largest economy
  • Mother of four religions - HinduismBuddhism,Jainism, and Sikhism

I can go on like for days and still wont be able to finish describing our country! ..hmm .yeah our country is awesome!
  • well, we all know the size and shape of our country right? lets see..

IS IT??
ARE YOU SURE?
Well, you are wrong! we all are fooled by our own government!

The actual shape goes something like this!
Head shaved? :O
Stunned? :O
That was hell lot of a surprise for me when i first saw it! It looked more like the one we used to draw when we were in schools! yeah! those shape less ones..

So,
Should we really care for this?
whom should we blame?
Keep thinking!

The whole funda of Bits and Bytes!

You must be always wondering why my internet speed is slow in spite of your ISP(Internet Service Provider) promising you with several Mbps. Well, the basic misconception behind all this is that your computer measures data in bytes (eg : kilobytes, megabytes) and your ISP measures the same in bits!. Its that simple!. so whatever speed your ISP says will be 8 times more than whatever you experience practically! you have a 2 Mbps connection? ,well then you must be getting a speed of 2/8 ,ie .25 KBps! ie 256 KBps.
Whenever you see speed in Mbps or Kbps(mega or kilo bits per second) divide the numerical by 8 to get the actual data transfer speed!. As convection "b" is taken as bits and "B" as bytes to avoid confusion!
so next time whenever your friend says that he has a 1 Mbps connection, He refers to bits per second and not bytes!. Your friend will be able to download 1 MB of data in 8 seconds and not in 1 single second!

Here is the basic data conversion table!
